Scientific dissertation structured in the form of a letter to Francesco Redi, who was Del Papa's teacher. Born in Empoli in 1649, he died in 1735 in Pisa, where he was professor first of logic and then of medicine. In addition to the physical principles linked to temperature, the work deals with numerous other physics topics such as liquids, methods for treating gold, light, metal treatment, lightning.
