Specialist Notes
Contraffazione in barbe della rarissima seconda edizione fiorentina del 1568, realizzata da Bartolomeo Gamba da Bassano, Accademico della Crusca e bibliografo, stampata in 100 esemplari, al frontespizio la bella e grande vignetta xilografata col ballo delle ragazze. Gamba 266: “Al fine di distinguere questa contraffazione si osservi la prima lettera iniziale con cui cominciano le Canzoni; la quale lettera nell’originale rappresenta due persone azzuffate, una dall’altra atterrata; e nella copia rappresenta un paesetto con fabbriche”.
