Rara prima edizione di questo pregiato trattato di oculistica. “This work, Hovius' doctoral dissertation, contains the first description of the circle of anastomoses ('canal of Hovius') between the anterior branches of the venae vorticosae in the eyes of many mammals, but not usually in humans. It also contains the original descriptions of intraocular circulation and of the inflow and outflow of the aqueous, with primitive measurements.” Albert,1129.
