First edition of this lively, and richly illustrated, emblematic book by Paolo Maccio from Modena, which presents an interesting iconography of contemporary life in Bologna. The valuable engravings are the work of major artists active in Bologna in those years; one of the tables depicts one of the earliest representations of the telescope, c.C1r.
