A unique auction for true wine lovers focused primarily on Bordeaux and Burgundy, Champagne and Italy, ending with an important section devoted to whiskies, the catalog represent a century of wine history.

2 APRIL
Rare and shining stars studded the precious selection of this auction: Henri Jayer's Cros Parantoux in Magnum version, Sassicaia from 1962, an uncommon review of Monfortino, including a Magnum from 1955, one of the 39 Magnums produced of Amarone Aneri 2001, Biondi Santi Riserva in the legendary vintages of 1955, 1961, 1964 and 1968 are the highlights of a collection of the highest level.

The Barbarescos of Giacosa and Gaja, the Barolos of Rinaldi, Parusso and Voerzio for Piedmont, the Brunellos of Soldera, and then Masseto, Solaia, Tignanello, Ornellaia and Pergole Torte for Tuscany; the Amarones of Quintarelli for the Veneto, Tramin Epokale 2009 with its 100/100 Parker rating, Montevetrano of rare vintages and formats, and Spinning Beauty of Capri enrich the fine Italian selection with outstanding quality.

For France, Chateau Mouton, Lafite, Margaux, Latour and Petrus offer a complete overview of the best of Bordeux, while in Burgundy, a fabulous derby is being played out between Jayer, represented by a wide range of exceptional bottles, and Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, with a wide selection. The French representation is completed by a selection of Champagnes with Krug Clos d'Ambonnay, Dom Perignon P2 and Cristal in the foreground, Remy Martin Louis XIII for Cognacs and again DRC with Marc de Champagne for grappas.

We end with whiskies, among which we highlight The Prestonfield Bowmore 16 YO, Giovinetti's Macallan 18 and the rare and precious Japanese The Owner's Cask.

The oldest Cantina in Barolo presented in a collection from 1931 to 2014.

This is the extreme synthesis to present the Finarte auction on June 9th, where an extraordinary selection of Barolo Borgogno of over 1,900 bottles will be auctioned, covering the time period 1931-2014 with great completeness: 1931, 1937, 1947, 1952, 1955, 1957, 1958, 1959 and then all the vintages produced without neglecting even one until 2014, with very rare bottles of Barolo Storico Crus and the most recent Crus, which the Farinetti management decided to enhance after the company’s acquisition in 2008.

The bottles, preserved with extreme care, have been viewed one by one by the Borgogno company which guarantees their authenticity and essential conservation requirements.

The collection is offered in lots divided into several large complementary verticals that offer the entire history of 1931-2014, in smaller verticals focused on specific periods and selections of targeted vintages and particular Crus.

The Monographic auction of the Barolo Borgogno 1931-2014 Collection will be preceded by two tasting events dedicated to collectors in Milan and Rome.
