New York, E. P. Dutton and Company [Turnbull & Spears, Edinburgh], 1927. In large 4th, 294 x 228 mm., third edition, with copious illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley, marginal flourishes. Decorated canvas and gilt, gilt upper edge (otherwise in barbs), hinge almost detached, defects on the spine. Modern ex libris on the pastedown. One of 1600 printed copies of this edition.

THIRD EDITION. Six-page preface on Aubrey Beardsley by Aylmer Vallance, fifteen-page introduction by John Rhys, one-page note by R.A. Walker, “A Note on the designs omitted from the First Edition.” Includes ten chapter titles omitted in the first edition, included by mistake in the second edition, and included for the first time on purpose in this edition. It presents for the first time, and entirely based on an original design, Beardsley's design for the cover. Copiously illustrated by Aubrey Beardsley, with numerous full-page black and white drawings, some of which protected by tissue paper, and numerous black and white drawings in the text.
