Provenance

The model
In 1970, the Beetle was joined by the 1302 model, also known as the Beetle, produced in both sedan and convertible versions. The engines remain the 1200 cm³ and 1300 cm³, plus the new 1600 cm³ engine. The beetles differ in the front end, with torsion bars in the first and with the modern MacPherson scheme in the second. The entire front of the new model is redesigned which, with a more rounded hood, acquires space for luggage but keeps the windshield flat. In August 1972 the 1302 model was replaced by the 1303 model, characterized by a new curved windscreen and a new dashboard in shockproof material. The rear lights were also redesigned. The convertible version will be produced until 1980.
The car
Volkswagen 1303 Cabriolet, with chassis no. 1562068550 is a vehicle from 1976. It comes from the cars chosen for the Saottini Collection. Partially preserved, the bodywork is in perfect condition, repainted in the original Black (L-41) with pale, sand-colored soft top, also in perfect order. The interiors are excellently preserved with the original mixed leatherette-fabric covering. The mechanics, with the 1.2-liter engine, are in excellent condition and have been regularly maintained. The car is still registered with the original Brescia black plates, it has a "page" booklet of first registration and a certificate of origin from the manufacturer. It has tires with a white band. The characteristics of this particular model (with MacPherson front end, improved braking system, sturdy openable top and, in this case, with the relatively sober1200 cc engine) make the car a real classic as well as ideal vehicle for daily use. In addition to being a reliable investment.
State of the art
Repainted, interiors preserved, mechanically well maintained and generally in good condition.
