BIRMINGHAM", “40”, “38”, “A.”, mark of the Birmingham test bench, serial number “83xx” and Vatican cross-keys, folding and adjustable rear sight, foresight and clutch for the bayonet, 12 mm cal. at the nozzle. Typical frame and bolt with matching serial number, tang marked "REMINGTON PATENT'S". Working mechanism. Wooden stock in two pieces, with iron mounts. Butt plate worked like the Cantonal Model 51. Butt with small missing part. Complete with yatagan bayonet and iron scabbard.
