Marcos Evangelista de Moraes, known as Cafu (São Paulo, 7 June 1970), is a Brazilian footballer, playing as a defender, considered one of the strongest right-backs of all time. He began his career in 1989 at San Paolo and subsequently wore the shirts of Real Zaragoza, Palmeiras, Roma and Milan, he won numerous titles both nationally and internationally, such as two Intercontinental Cups in 1992 and 1993, a Cup Winners' Cup in 1995, two UEFA Super Cups in 2003 and 2007, a Champions League in 2007 and a FIFA Club World Cup in 2007. He is one of the only three footballers in history, together with Ronaldinho and Dida, to have managed to win at least one time, UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores, FIFA World Cup, Copa America and Confederations Cup. He holds the all-time record for appearances for the Brazilian national team, with which he boasted five years as captain (2002-2006), 142 appearances and 5 goals. He became world champion twice, in 1994 and 2002, American champion twice in 1997 and 1999 and winner of the Confederations Cup once in 1997. On an individual level he is the only player in the history of football to have played three consecutive world championship finals.
