Antonio Conte (Lecce, 31 July 1969) is an Italian football coach and former footballer, playing a midfielder role. Raised in the youth sector of Lecce, with whom he made his debut in Serie A and where he played for nine years, before moving to Juventus, a club for which he wore the shirt for thirteen seasons, between the 1990s and 2000s, becoming captain . With Juventus he won five Italian Serie A championships, as well as international trophies such as the 1992-1993 UEFA Cup, the 1995-1996 UEFA Champions League and the 1999 UEFA Intertoto Cup. With the Italian national team he was vice-world champion in 1994 and vice-champion of Europe in 2000. Between 2014 and 2016 he was technical commissioner of the Italian national team, which he led in the final phase of the 2016 European championship.
