Michael Laudrup (Frederiksberg, 15 June 1964) is a Danish football manager and former footballer, who played as a midfielder or attacker. Laudrup, son of an artist, emerged in the local teams of Brøndby and KB, and then achieved numerous successes over the course of his career with famous clubs such as Ajax, Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid, winning seven national championships — one in Italy, five in Spain and one in the Netherlands —, a European Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, two Danish Cups, two King's Cups, a KNVB beker and a Spanish Super Cup. With the Danish national team, with which he triumphed in the 1995 FIFA Confederations Cup, he has 104 matches and 37 goals, which makes him, respectively, fifth and sixth overall in the all-time rankings. As a professional, he scored 172 goals in 608 official matches between the national team and club teams.
