Splendid large 8th manuscript, 260 x 180 mm., with 16 handwritten and illuminated parchment sheets, i.e. pages numbered from 1 to 32, plus an unnumbered final sheet with colophon, ientirely illuminated in gold and color, handwritten text in English, 9 thumbnails illustrate text, large illuminated initials, with white silk protectors that preserve the miniatures, WONDERFUL BINDING signed "Made in England" in full Levantine rose morocco, gilt spine with small floral morocco inlays, the front plate contains green and white morocco floral inlays, in the center of the white flower-shaped inlays is a rose-cut diamond with a total of 13 old-cut diamonds, white silk doublures, hobs golden. All in a folding case in full blue morocco, of which the top cover is detached.

From the colophon: "This manuscript containing three Early English Poems While a Prisoner by James I, of Scotland Merciless Beauty by Geoffrey Chaucer and The Nymph's Reply by Sir Walter Raleigh was designed, written out, and illuminated by Alberto Sangorski.The Arms and Minatures were taken from historical documents in the British Museum, and The National Portrait Gallery, London. The miniature in the title-page shows the Tower of London where King James was incarcerated. This manuscript will not be duplicated. [signed] Alberto Sangorski.”
