Splendid plates imprinted in sepia and black on cardboard and delicately colored in vintage watercolor, 7 depict historical characters on horseback and on foot of the famous "quadrilles" while the first represents a splendid aerial view of Piazza San Carlo in Turin, animated by the carrying out of the Carosello, with the amphitheater and the royal box specially built for the event (held on 22 April 1842) celebrating the marriage of Vittorio Emanuele II with Maria Adelaide of Lorraine, younger daughter of the Archduke of Austria Ranieri, viceroy of Lombardo Veneto, which took place on 12 April of the same year.
