Literature

B.Mantura, P.Rosazza-Ferraris, Ettore Ferrari, catalogue of the exhibition, Latina, Palazzo della Cultura, 10 December 1988 - 30 January 1989, Milan - Rome 1988, file no. 23.

Alongside his successful official career sculptor monumental Ettore Ferrari cultivated watercolor painting from his youth on en plein air; memberof ”In Arte Libertas" and then one of the founders of the XXV della Campagna Romana, he devoted himself to landscape painting with a vast production of life views made around Rome , but not only, from the early seventies. Dated to 1876 this watercolor documents his p very remote mode, vibrant of a brightness diffuse but always attentive to the natural datum. The blue silhouettes of the mountains that surround the small body of water are reflected in the lake of Piediluco.
