Large, single-edged blade with thickened back, base dated '1858', marked 'F. S. JUNG' and with a mark. Iron hilt with two valves and three loop-guards, marked 'F. S. JUNG' and 'V'. Wooden grip covered with leather and metal wire binding (signs of use). Leather-covered, wooden scabbard (of a later period) with iron mounts.
