Large, slightly curved, single-and-false-edged blade (small pitting) with wide fuller, 'SOLINGEN' marking and 'BD' mark. Bituminous, iron hilt with wide, smooth guard; iron grip with remains of black covering and long, smooth cap. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts ('BD' mark).
