Round, rifled, 28 cal barrel with foresight; engraved, six-shot cylinder, grip strap marked "MASS. ARMS CO/CHICOPEE FALLS", frame engraved with floral motifs and marked "MAYNARD'S PATENT SEP. 22 1845"; the right side can be opened to insert the primers; wooden grip scales. Working mechanism (the cylinder is blocked only in one direction when the hammer is fully cocked. The box is also provided with a broken spring). In a wooden case with burgundy velvet lining, complete with tools and key.
