Straight blade of triangular section with hollow sides, the base engraved with floral motifs and trophies with remains of gilding, at the tang marked "S.H."; gilded brass hilt, shell-guard with three lilies above a trophy in a laurel circle and between two lion heads. In the centre of the loop-guard a lion's head, the rest decorated with floral motifs. Mother of pearl grip scales. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with gilt and engraved brass mounts, button with fleur-de-lis.
