dating: late 17th Century provenance: Poland, Curved, single-and-false-edged blade of medium width, with several grooves, the first part of the back grooved, after hollowed up to the part with two edges. Iron, cross-shaped hiltwith flat, engraved quillon enlarged at the ends. Wooden grip covered with original leather, the pommel slightly angled and with bronze cap, engraved at the base and with remains of gilding. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with bronze mounts, remains of gilding. Two suspension rings. Small defects, missing cap. This type of sabre was used mainly by Polish hussars, and also by Hungarian hussars. length 85.5 cm.
