dating: late 18th Century provenance: Kingdom of Naples, Curved, single-edged blade, with fuller at the center and thin groove near the back, rust damage, on one side inscription 'VIVA DIO E IL RE' between decorative engravings, remains of inscriptions also on the other side. One-quillon, iron hilt with faceted, brass grip engraved with a trophy under crown. Leather scabbard with brass mounts. Rare. length 81 cm.
