Information

Rubin "Hurricane" Carter Signed Boxing Shorts Certified by Authentic Signings Inc.
Rubin "Hurricane" Carter was an American professional boxer and civil rights activist. He rose to fame after his wrongful conviction for murder in 1966, a conviction that was later overturned in 1985. His story inspired the film "The Hurricane," directed by Norman Jewison and starring Denzel Washington as Carter.
It also inspired "Hurricane," a song written by Bob Dylan and Jacques Levy, released on the 1976 album "Desire." The song tells the story of the boxer. Dylan wrote the song to draw attention to Carter's case and to support his cause. The song helped renew public interest in the case and sparked debates about criminal justice and racism in the United States.
