Goalkeeper glove autographed by Gianluigi Buffon and certified by Beckett.
Gianluigi Buffon, commonly known as Gigi Buffon, is a former Italian footballer born on 28 January 1978 in Carrara, Italy. He is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the history of football.
Buffon began his professional career with Parma in 1995, and during his time with the club he won several trophies, including the UEFA Cup and the Coppa Italia. In 2001, he moved to Juventus, becoming one of the key elements of the team.
With Juventus, Buffon won numerous Serie A titles, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana. However, in 2006, the club was involved in the Calciopoli scandal, which led to relegations and suspensions. Buffon chose to stay with Juventus even during difficult times, proving his loyalty to the club.
Buffon was also the first-choice goalkeeper for the Italian national team for many years. He represented Italy in several editions of the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Championship. One of the most significant moments of his international career was Italy's victory in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, where Buffon was instrumental in the Italian defense.
In 2018, after a long and illustrious career with Juventus, Buffon decided to leave the club and moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in France for a short stint. He later returned to Juventus for a second stint before announcing his retirement from professional football in 2021.
