After his beginnings as an assistant to an advertising photographer, Siedfried Enkelmsnn worked in Hans Robertson's studio (which he later inherited) where he began to devote himself to ballet photography. It was in this particular field that he established himself as the most outstanding German photographer between the 1930s and 1960s.
