A lawyer by profession, photographer by passion, Ferruccio Ferroni was part of the Misa photography group in his native Senigallia. A friend of Mario Giacomelli, he enthusiastically embraced the philosophical and aesthetic assumptions of the Crocian style dear to Giuseppe Cavalli, and this is the reason why most of his photographs, which he himself printed with great care, were taken in hight-key with landscape subjects. In other cases, Ferroni, always convinced that in photography the subject does not count, has investigated details to the point of achieving, as in this case, results that verge on abstractionism.
