Photographs such as this one, are realised thanks to a well-trained team of collaborators who paint Liu Bolin's clothes and body so that the artist blends in and "disappear" into space. Liu Bolin is both author and actor of his photographs. The works at first superficial glance, might appear to be just an original visual game, are instead a much deeper reflection on the relationship between being and appearing.
