Long, smoothbore barrel with 18 mm cal. at the nozzle and octagonal breech, marked "B27". Lock marked "M.ra R.le di Napoli", working mechanisms. Dated "1813" inside the lock plate and with remains of other marks. Wooden half stock with remains of stamps on the left and lower sides. Brass mounts with "ME" marks and shield. Backstrap with iron band marked "ME". Rare belt hook. Iron parts with some pitting. Ramrod numbered "27, similar to the barrel. Atypical length and other features, the owners states that it is probably a cavalry weapon converted for Navy use. Interesting.
