Smoothbore, round barrel, 18 mm cal. at the nozzle, with octagonal breech (pitting inside), marked "269". Lock with flat lock plate featuring the marking "GM" inside a circle by Giovanni Mazzocchi. Working mechanism but the hammer does not hold the cocking position (inner mechanism needs revision). Three-quarter wooden stock numbered "3" and "68" (probably numbers of squadron and rider respectively). Counterplate marked "269". Iron ramrod. Very rare and interesting.
