The breech marked "MULLER A GENES". Forward spring lock signed "MULLER A GENES" and numbered "338". Working mechanism. Working trigger and set trigger. Long wooden stock. Iron mounts. Trigger guard with finger support. Complete with ramrod. Barbiroli reports a Muller Pietro, a Genoese gunsmith from the mid-19th century, documented until 1858. In addition, various weapons known on the market are marked 'P. Muller' or 'Muller', according to Barbiroli, always attributable to Pietro Muller: 'See Repertorio Storico degli Archibugiari Italiani', pp. 384-385. See a percussion carbine of the Swiss federal-type sold in our auction No. 127 (lot 445) signed "P. M√úLLER in GENOVA". The owner notes: "Carbine made in Genoa by Muller for a Genoese Carabiniere" (A company of Genoese volunteers who also fought in the Expedition of the Thousand with Garibaldi).
