Straight blade of hexagonal section, the first part engraved and gilded on a blue background with a Savoy eagle under crown, motto "Vive Le Roi", trophies and floral motifs; beautiful gilded bronze hilt, the shell-guard with the order's badge and the class' double ribbon badge, quillon and pommel with large lion's head, the loop-guard with flat head. Wooden grip with mother-of-pearl grips. Leather-covered, wooden scabbard with gilt brass mounts and a suspension ring. Small defects, mainly at the scabbard.
