Smoothbore, round, juxtaposed, damask barrels, 15.5 mm cal. at the nozzle. Tang with long back, engraved with racemes. Backward spring locks engraved with racemes. Wooden half stock with grip bearing remains of checkering and butt-plate with carved leaves. The base of the back engraved with the crowned monogram "LII" (Leopold II). Iron mounts. Working mechanism. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod (slightly short) and iron cartridge extractor. Probably a civilian pistol of French manufacture used by the gendarmerie.
