length 99,3 cm.
Rifled, two-stage, 50 cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part with foldaway rear sight, then round, with foresight. Clean bore, visible rifling, small signs of use and time. Percussion breech-loading mechanism. The key is released by pressing the brass lever located in front of the trigger acting on the rear retaining spring, causing the barrel to tilt downwards. The receiver is marked "ADRESS POULTNEY & TRIMBLE BALTIMORE USA", "SMITH'S PATENT JUNE 23 1957" and "MANUFACTURED BY MASS. ARMS CO. CHICOPEE FALLS" on the left side. The lock is in good but not perfect conditions. Walnut butt and fore-end, the former with remains of two military inspection stamps. Iron mounts with some pitting.
