Information
length 113,5 cm.
Very heavy, rifled, octagonal barrel, provided with open-works at the nozzle to mount a starter, with slots for the club guide for the foresight and rear sight and provided (later?) with a slide guide to mount a scope. 43 cal. at the nozzle. Signed "C.L. BADGER" on the left side. Back tang with several open-works to mount a peep sight. Backward spring lock with working mechanism, the cock perhaps with an old repair. Fine butt of briarwood. Trigger with adjustment screw. White metal butt plate and trigger guard. The rifle is equipped with various accessories: a long brass scope, currently mounted, made in imitation of the first rifle scopes (late 20th century production); tunnel foresight, rear sight and peep sight, of later production but crafted like the originals of the period. Complete with its earlier starter. Interesting.
