Long, smoothbore, two-stage, 12 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part then round after a series of rings. Smooth tang. Beautiful flintlock with slightly round lock plate decorated with slightly rounded plate and engraved with fine floral motifs and a mask at the end; marked "CHIGNOLO" under the spring of the batterie. The lock was replaced in earlier times, with a lock plate well adapted to the wood. Briarwood, full stock (small damaged parts and restorations) with piping. Carved and engraved iron mounts, shield in relief on the back. Iron-tipped ramrod with iron cartridge extractors.
