Bologna
length 118 cm.
Smoothbore, three-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part with frame, signed "LAZARINO COMINAZZO" and decorated with longitudinal lines, then hexadecagonal and finally round after three rings, decorated with three silver mounts featuring floral and geometric motifs, the base hilt with sight, the fore-sight is located in the second bird-shaped hilt, engraved tang. Flintlock richly carved with masks, grotesque figures, snakes and floral motifs, the tang of the outer spring with a pierced heart, sliding pan cover decorated with a bust, signed "Ottaviano Pozzi Sabione" inside. Wooden full stock (a crack on the right side and some small restorations), sculpted with floral motifs at the center and on the butt, beautiful mounts made of carved and partially pierced iron, the counterplate with a medal at the centre featuring a female bust held by two grotesque figures and with snakes, trigger guard with a bust, leaves at the ends, butt plate decorated with two busts and floral motifs, damaged by rust at the rear side. Iron ramrod provided with cartridge extractors.
