Information
length 24,5 cm.
Rifled, octagonal, 34 cal. barrel (clean bore, visible rifling), with (slightly flattened) foresight and fixed rear sight, signed "N.W. HANSON DONCASTER" on the back, with marks of the London test bench. The surface of the barrel keeping about 80% of its antique bluing. Nozzle with engraved leaves, base with engravings around the cartridge rammer compartment. The lever with a swiveling release system and the cartridge rammer with return spring (!). The base of the cartridge rammer's lever with serial number "20xx" and "V R PATENT" with crown. Six-shot cylinder with well-preserved chambers numbered on the front side of the cylinder, the sides with mark of the London test bench. Well working, single-action mechanism. The cylinder provided with a swiveling system on the pin, therefore when it is rotated, it slides backwards to avoid friction; when the chamber is aligned with the barrel for firing, the cylinder slides forward again to better fit the breech. Metal frame without finishing, the cylinder likewise and engraved with racemes as the barrel, and with frames; provided with an external safety lock on the right side to lock the cock in the first cocking position. Checkered, wooden butt with a corrector ring on the back (pertinent?) and a silver shield. Steel butt-plate with floral engraving and a primer case. Trigger guard engraved en suite with the frame. Remains of casehardening.
