Specialist Notes
Swan song of the classic 911 (F or "urmodell"), the Carrera RS 2.7 version was recognizable by the famous "ducktail" rear wing, the adhesive strips on the sides and the alloy wheels matching the strips. Very fast and exclusive, now it's also very expensive and hard to find. The starting point for this specimen was the body of a 1972 911 T 2.4. The car underwent an in-depth restoration and complete transformation into the Carrera 2.7 RS version, with an original new 245 hp RS engine. The car papers are in order. With (HTP) homologation for all international competitions, it is race ready, but can also be used on the road. In detail, the body was completely disassembled, sandblasted, and checked on the bench with the replacement of worn parts; finally lightened and strengthened. The engine has been rebuilt with totally new wear materials, the cylinder heads have been given a racing finish, racing exhaust system and accessories were fitted. The lubrication system pipes are racing type with passage in the frame and large oil cooler; the gas tank is inspected and approved (HTP); competition fuel pumps, stabilizers, pipes. The gearbox has limited slip diff., with racing clutch and gears, short stroke linkage. Braking system has original 2.7 RS aluminum front calipers and pipes made with aeronautical materials. Steering box, suspension arms and all parts are overhauled or new and mounted on Teflon bushings; racing shock absorbers are fitted. The competition set-up includes a roll cage, sport bucket seats, seat belts, fire extinguisher system, battery switch and approved components. The km traveled, after the works were completed, did not exceed fifty.
