Specialist Notes

Very rare plaque printed anonymously and with a false place of printing which Melzi attributes to Michele Maria Vecchioni and printed in Lucca. This news is also reported by Giustiniani (Scrittori Legali III, page 241) who also explains the reasons that led to the publication of the writing and by Soria page. 290 and 678: "at the request of a notable person he composed a small life which was printed without an author's name in Palmyra (Lucca or perhaps Geneva or Naples) in 1765, in which there was something to induce fear in that time where it does not take place the censorship of Lami".
