Bellitti, Giacinto (Foggia, 1746 - Naples, 1815). After graduating in law, he moved to Naples, where he practiced as a lawyer. He joined the Neapolitan Republic in 1799 and in 1808, during Murat's reign, he was appointed decurion of the city of Naples, then moving on to hold positions in the judiciary, in which he reached the rank of appellate judge. A scholar of economic problems, in his writings "Considerations on the freedom of the annona and on the abolition of the fish assisa (Naples 1791)" and Memoir around the census of the Tavoliere della Daunia (San Giorgio a Cremano 1805) he discussed, showing particular knowledge of the economic theories of his time, the serious problems that in the last decades of the century. XVIII affected the southern economy, among which the most serious was certainly that of the ration legislation.
