Specialist Notes

Valuable and rich set of precious relics of the great Italian poet, playwright and essayist. The Arietta presented here is entitled  "Da 'o quarto piano" and is one of the most famous and well-known by Di Giacomo, of which Eduardo De Filippo gave a splendid interpretation. Very beautiful are the 4 letters to Carlo Nazzaro, an Italian journalist and writer well known at the time, with whom he shares esteem and sincere friendship. A unique heirloom, finally, the piece by Assunta Spina, the famous drama written by Salvatore Di Giacomo and taken from the novella of the same name published in 1888, subsequently brought to the screen, first in 1915, then in 1948 written by Eduardo De Filippo, with Anna Magnani in the title role.
