Paper manuscript of 160 pp. numbered plus some white at the end, 160 x 202 mm., written by a single hand, with diagrams, drawings, tables, moving parts, schemes, mostly watercolored, datable to around 1680, coeval rigid parchment binding.

As an interdisciplinary science, Gnomonics integrates mathematics, philosophy, art, history, astrology, astronomy, cosmography etc. All this is splendidly represented and collected here, in a rigorous scientific treatment that starts from the mathematical assumptions of the discipline and then declines its forms in theoretical but also and above all practical aspects, proposing itself primarily as a useful treatise for the construction of sundials and night clocks. .
