Front door with the portrait of the author engraved by Ravenet in the first volume, with 9 folded plates engraved in copper placed at the end of the 1st vol., Rare and sporadic blooms, binding of a later period in red canvas, author, title and tome in gold on black gusset to the smooth back, yellow upper cut. Paper ex libris on the counterplate.
First Italian edition of the Cours, published in an edition of 2000 copies. It was printed in 1775 and was immediately strongly opposed by the Spanish monarchy. This opposition delayed the release on the market of this edition, which took place only in 1782.
