Specialist Notes

First and rare edition of the grammar and history of the language written by the author of the famous Della Moneta. In this work Abbot Galiani, economist and enlightenment, wants to demonstrate how the Neapolitan language was closer to the first Italian literary vernacular than the Tuscan linguistic area and therefore he hoped that Neapolitan would become the official language of the Southern Kingdom.
