Color-figured front door depicting players, with 99 lithographic plates, some with interventions in silver and gold, original binding in red long-grained Moroccan middle, signed Dupré , 5-ribbed spine with compartments iron with frieze surmounted by a crown, slight defects. Ex libris "Bibliotheque de M. Ch. Schefer" on the counterplate.

Luxury edition printed in only 132 copies of this important bibliography relating to playing cards and illustrated with 100 full-page tables. The specimen belonged to & nbsp; Charles H.A. Schefer (1820-1898) French orientalist diplomat and bibliophile. & Nbsp; With 100 lithographed plates by T. Delaure depicting the most precious decks of cards preserved in the Bibliothèque Royale or from the Duchesne collection. & Nbsp;
