James Pattison Cockburn & nbsp; (1779 - 1847), coming from a family with a long military tradition, in 1793 he enrolled at the Royal Military Academy in Woolwich, where he became passionate about drawing thanks to the teachings of the painter, expert landscape architect, Paul Sandby.
