Antiporte figurate incise, illustrati completamente con testatine, capilettera, cul de lamps, e tavole nel testo finemente incise in rame raffiguranti monete, statue, medaglie, oggetti, anche il testo completamente inciso, bruniture e qualche arrossatura, legatura coeva in marocchino rosso a grana lunga, ai piatti filetto in oro, sguardie marmorizzate policrome, Prima edizione (ma non in prima emissione) del capolavoro tipografico dell'opera di Orazio, considerato uno dei piu bei libri illustrati inglesi del XVIII secolo. John Pine fu allievo del celebre incisore francese Bernard Picart.
