Specialist Notes

Uncommon expanded second edition of the most important Italian agronomic treatise of the 16th century , illustrated by a lot of practical information on the cultivation of the land and the breeding of animals. The work, first published in 1644, was remarkably successful and was reprinted many times over the next 150 years. & Nbsp;
The first book is dedicated to bread and wine; the second to grapes and bees; the third deals with courtyard animals, with interesting notions of cuisine; the fourth is dedicated to vegetable gardens and the knots of cooking vegetables; the fifth is intended for gardens and flowers; the sixth to the cultivation of the fields; and finally the seventh part talks about the influence of the sun and the moon on cultivation, also including interesting descriptions of banquets and dinners, with suggestions on hunting.
The work also contains several chapters on gastronomy, including a list of 110 ways to "dress up" and cook pork. & nbsp; & nbsp;
