Allegorical vignette on the frontispiece engraved on copper by Gregori, 2 headers and 2 drop caps finely engraved on copper from drawings by Campiglia, 19 full-page plates, one of which on a double sheet, contemporary bazzana binding, gold titles on leather gusset on the seven-nerved spine, defects.

Only edition of this sumptuous work, published simultaneously also in French, which celebrates the arrival of the famous group of statues of Niobe, discovered near the Porta di San Giovanni in Rome, at the Uffizi in Florence.
