Specialist Notes

I work: First Italian edition. Posthumous novel, published in 1909, edited by his son Michel, also a writer, who revised his father's text, significantly increasing it. The main character of the novel, called Kaw-djer, was certainly inspired by Verne by Jean Horst, a character from the Austrian court who disappeared after the tragic events of Mayerling and was found after many years in a desert region of Argentina where he lived in total incognito.
