Specialist Notes
Solaria was a famous magazine founded in 1926 by Alberto Carocci. The editorial choices, traceable in the programmatic manifesto published at the beginning of the first issue, highlight the attention that the editorial staff showed towards the great foreign production, publishing authors such as Joyce, Hemingway and Kafka without neglecting the Italian scene. Among their discoveries were Svevo and Tozzi, to whom they dedicated an entire volume; the editorial staff ceased its activity in 1936 due to the continuous impediments imposed by the censorship of the fascist regime and internal conflicts.
