Venice, G. Giolito, 1561. In 4th. 2 works in 1 volume. each with its own title page. On the title page, large typographical brand and at the end, full page but of different format, decorated woodcut headers and drop caps, reinforcement on the lower margin of the title page, some evanescent ancient hand notes, blooms and humidity stains, parchment binding from the 18th century. XVIII, spine with 5 bands, leather insert with author and title, small worm holes on the spine. Conti Capponi handwritten note on the inside cover, ownership stamps on the title page.
Specialist Notes
Second edition, the first was printed by Giolito himself in 1558, of the Dolce's translation of the work by Pedro Mexia (1497-1552) historian who was a chronicler of Charles V.
